Spectral Commons reimagines the solar farm as a civic energy infrastructure. Located in Örnekköy, İzmir, the project transforms an isolated power plant into a publicly accessible landscape where energy production, knowledge and collective decision-making come together. A Spectral Energy Redistribution system captures sunlight as electrical, thermal and chemical energy, while the architecture makes its production, measurement and allocation visible. Through Expose, Decode, Engage, Negotiate and Reconfigure, the project turns energy from a hidden commodity into a shared urban resource.
