Etherea is the kitchen that anticipates the design of the next 20 years and the architecture of the coming century. For the shape of Etherea, Claudio Silvestrin drew inspiration from aether — Plato’s fifth vital element — and from Mother Nature, from her absolute absence of right angles: Etherea seems shaped by the wind and appears to float in the air and in space. Claudio Silvestrin’s intention is to de-materialize the kitchen as an object, making it “ethereal,” with a beauty that feels almost natural, beyond linear time and the culture of the machine.
