Healing Waterscape : Hydrological Regeneration for Nature and Well-being
Rather than erasing the legacy of extraction, this proposal transforms a former limestone quarry into a healing waterscape through nature-based regeneration. Mining-affected lake water and harvested rainwater are purified through constructed wetlands, biofiltration, and limestone filtration to improve water quality and restore biodiversity. Integrated with the existing terrain, lightweight bamboo architecture creates spaces for education, recreation, and community, demonstrating how post-mining landscapes can become resilient public ecosystems.
