Weaving the layers
Set in a historic Taiwanese military village, this adaptive reuse project reconnects heritage buildings, slopes, and waterfronts via a three-tiered path system.A sunken plaza and underground corridor introduce earth energy and sulfur geothermal vapors. The ground path aligns with contours and alleys, preserving old quarters for public strolls. An elevated red walkway threads through treetops and roofs, shifting perspectives to view historic architecture and mountain views.Placing the visitor center, historic spaces, footbaths, and lodging along this loop reactivates the site naturally through movement.
