Entrance Courtyard
The Library of Local Voices and Everyday Skills reimagines the historic Bottle Factory on Old Kent Road as a civic interior where making, learning, and sharing bring people together. Rooted in the communities of the area, it brings together existing but often overlooked practices, including cooking, carpentry, tailoring, pottery, and repair. Through adaptive reuse, workshops, a community-authored library, market, café, and gathering spaces form a living archive where local knowledge is made visible, shared across generations, and celebrated, fostering learning, connection, and belonging.
