How does a mountain become part of everyday life? Rather than being experienced only through rituals, the Jiujiu Peaks are rediscovered through everyday journeys across fields, canals, bridges, and forest paths. The project reconnects the settlement and the mountains through three spatial nodes—Earth, Water, and Mountain—linked by the Wu River and Longquan Canal. Together, they transform walking into a contemporary ritual, renewing the relationship between people, landscape, and Taiwan’s mountain culture.
