Water Regeneration tackles chronic scarcity, flooding and severe pollution in Vikas Nagar, an informal settlement along Delhi’s Sahibi River. The design rebuilds a closed water cycle: greywater is filtered for community farming, rainwater is captured through rain gardens and bioswales, and sewage is treated via anaerobic, facultative and maturation ponds before returning to the river. Integrated wetlands and food gardens convert waste into crops and income, creating a productive, resilient community while restoring the degraded river corridor.
