IN-BETWEEN GROUND reconsiders Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square, Hanoi not as a finished civic object, but as an evolving urban ground where historical memory and contemporary life continuously negotiate. Positioned between the dense fabric of Hanoi's Old Quarter and the openness of Hoan Kiem Lake, the project deploys a pavilion and landscape system as spatial mediators. Through calibrated ground articulation and chromatic zoning, everyday activities - movement, pause, informal gathering - are framed as active agents of urban form. An embedded pavilion enables collective use without fixing outcomes.
