Placitas, New Mexico Home Designed by Antoine Predock

Home in Placitas, New Mexico, designed by Antoine Predock — Perched like a great winged beast on the rim of the Rio Grande Rift, the Placitas house frames a cinematic sweep of high-desert landscape, with badlands in the foreground and the Rockies beyond. For a week, I stayed in the house, photographing the changing desert light as seasons seemed to alternate by the day. Bright sun, dust storms, torrential rain, and sudden snow created shifting moods, revealing the character of the home and its rugged desert setting.
