Arles Luma Skatepark / Marcel Meier
For a photographic road trip to Arles, I chose to travel light, as I have on previous journeys, carrying only my Leica Q3 43. My favourite images emerged on the final evening, wandering around Luma as daylight slowly faded. The skatepark, framed by Frank Gehry’s architecture, fell into an unexpected stillness. Where movement and noise usually dominate, only the traces left in the empty pool remain. These marks of past activity stand in quiet contrast to the calm, sculptural architecture - capturing a fleeting moment of silence within a place made for movement.
