Sang-e Siah Boutique Hotel, Shiraz — Stak Office. A rehabilitation set among five nationally registered historic buildings. Rather than imitate the district, the entrance answers it in the district's own material: brick, corbelled into a woven relief that only resolves under raking light. Photographed at the last minute of blue hour, when a single grazing source turns coursing into structure and the Kufic screen becomes the one lit detail.
