Perfect City: And Other Dystopian Dreams. Hudson Yards, New York City

Perfect City: And Other Dystopian Dreams. Hudson Yards, New York City — Rising like an apparition on the edge of the Hudson, Hudson Yards can appear as either a beacon of progress or a warning of the monotony and homogeneity of sudden cities. Photographed over several years in dramatic light, fog, snow, and wildfire smoke from Canada, I found an intriguing smaller skyline within Manhattan’s skyline, with its own distinct character, scale, and aesthetic. A city within a city, suggesting both progress and the possibility of future ruin.
