Nanhu Place, by South Lake in Jiaxing Zhejiang, focuses on urban renewal and adaptive reuse of historical buildings, blending culture, commerce, and tourism. The design team interpreted historical architecture and planned public spaces to create a vibrant landmark reflecting local culture on the eastern shore of South Lake. Covering 210,000 square metres, the project is divided into 4 zones, each utilising existing landscapes and historical resources while integrating new commercial offerings. Each zone's architectural design has a unique form, contributing to a cohesive yet diverse identity.
