Photographed on December 22nd in Oulu, Finland — the day after winter solstice, when daylight begins its return. For a few hours the low arctic sun reaches into the building. Saari, Oulu's central library, was originally designed by Marjatta and Martti Jaatinen (1982) and renovated by JKMM Architects (2025).
