Grundtvigs Kirke, Copenhagen (1926, Jensen-Klint). Images were made in one afternoon, on the first visit to site. These images offer an understanding of the spatial experience of this vast place. The restrained expressionist architecture using over 6 million locally made blond bricks is given shape by the light passing through windows, the only other material present is timber accenting and timber chairs. A steady calmness, and quiet introspection is brought by unmistakable nordic design principles, demonstrated at scale.
