THE FOREST ITSELF BECOMES THE MEMORIAL.
CIRCLE OF ADINGO reinterprets the relationship between people, ancestors, and nature through a memorial landscape inspired by Atayal culture. The site becomes an Ancestral Watershed, where tree burial allows the deceased to return symbolically to earth and become part of a living cycle. Visitors enter a semi-underground circular memorial centered on a living tree, while suspended keepsakes, mist, light, and temporary rainbows evoke memory. As vegetation grows and burial boundaries fade, architecture gradually merges with the forest, allowing the landscape itself to become the memorial.
