La Querola is a residential building in Ordino, Andorra, conceived as a natural extension of the valley. Its form, materiality and placement arise from the surrounding geography, while its silhouette evokes a stratified, eroded rock—“Quer,” an ancient Catalan word for large stone. The duplex and triplex homes follow the terrain, responding to topography and views across the valley. Clad in local slate, the building connects architecture with the memory and identity of its setting, allowing the built form to merge naturally with the landscape and reinforcing its strong connection to the place.
