Boston University's Joan and Edgar Booth Theatre and College of Fine Arts Production Center supports all aspects of dramatic performance while embodying the quote from Hamlet: To hold as 'twere the mirror up to nature. A 40-foot glass façade cants forward 14⁰ to reflect activity onto a “stage” framed by a UHP concrete scrim. Inside the flexible theatre seats 273 while supporting spaces include a sound/light laboratory, set production wing, and classrooms. Architects implemented materials that could enhance the mirror mantra—from mirrored acoustic ceiling tiles down to polished concrete floors.
