How to root in the local culture, to echo the city wall, and to create a new cultural living room, has become the main design appeal of this project.Outside the building, we choose to use modern design methods to translate the traditional elements and build a new “third space” with modern materials. This new design vocabulary not only creates the entrance courtyard space between the two main buildings, but also extends to the fifth vertical plane of the building. The original sloping roof of the building is used to build large steps of steel structure, which echoes with the city wall.
