The Central Financial District is located between 3rd ring road and 4th ring road. It lies on the side of Jing River, south of the Chengdu downtown, east side of High-Tech Development Zone and west side of Jingling District. The total constructive detailed planning area is 133.2ha. To representing the "21st urban characteristic" for Chengdu City, the planning strategy takes full advantage of the feature of Chengdu local topology by surrounding the urban area around the river. Based on the design concept of Mitsubishi Jisho Sekkei Inc.'s work, we develop the planning strategy—shaping a Natural-Technology coordinated new types of financial district, to achieve the design goal of Technology coordinated new types of financial district, to achieve the design goal of “Natural Topology Coordinated Multicenter CBD”, “Vertical Urban Design”, “Creating a diverse, vibrant and plentiful interface”, the plan uses different strategies including “High-Efficiency Natural Topography Comprehensive Development, “Reinforcing Urban Spatial Form”, “Urban Verticalization and Naturalization Transformation”, “Transportation Seamless Connection” and “Creating Dynastic Urban Panel Method.
