Standing in juxtaposition to its urban setting, the Central Ring Art Gallery creates its own art haven with its low-rise stature and ‘manmade nature’ surroundings. Designed to be a modern community square, the project is a welcoming and inclusive public place for locals and visitors alike. The gallery floats above the ground contrasting the indoor and outdoor activity spaces. The building’s exterior highlights the regional Hui architecture while maximizing natural light during the day and at night radiates the vibrant interior colors taken from local flora.
