The Zuidplein Theatre houses two auditoriums, a café/restaurant and a branch of the Rotterdam Library. It is part of a region-wide public-private partnership development that aims to provide Rotterdam South with an inviting place to recreate, live, shop and enjoy culture. The Zuidplein Theatre has a floor area of 12,500 m2. The large auditorium has 600 seats, the small auditorium 240. An additional 3rd auditorium is directly connected to the foyer and has 95 seats. Its central location next to metro stations easily attracts passers-by to take a look inside and makes art and culture accessible.
