Narvik is already famous for their sea to summit skiing and extreme off-piste. Narvik Arctic Resort is an alpine skiing destination and year-round activity mountain resort. The conceptual design links the city´s industrial history to the mountain resort. The exterior cladding of blackened metal creates a link to the railway/iron ore industry and a contrast to the wooden interiors and the use of wooden slats as an interpretation of the historic snow fences and forests on the mountain.
