Quanto basta means 'as much as necessary'. It is chef Missy Robbins’ guiding principle for her cuisine and way of life. It became the design mantra for Misi. The design employs a select few materials and organizes the kitchen, bar, and pasta room around a central dining area inspired by the outdoor markets of Bologna where Missy learned to cook. The outdoor market metaphor creates a convivial environment with a variety of experiences and a sense of place and intimacy. Misi celebrates its different parts and allows them to merge into a theater and a community where everyone is an actor.
