Double Cove

Project Double Cove situates on the beautiful beach side in a newly developed land in Hong Kong. Client's brief is simply straight forward - "beach side apartment"!. Such theme is not easy to achieve in a typical low ceiling height in most of the HK apartments. However, this was successfully achieved by making a concave up ceiling which further stretches the volume of the ceiling height as well as it looks like a beach side house. Not only in terms of form but the subtle gradient of ocean colours were used in furniture settings. Not to forget to mention is the hi-fi stands, many hi-fi products are not that friendly to the designer apartments but this was solved with the unique hi-fi stand/ light box design. The stand serves as a light box/ artwork stand when it's not in use but it lifts up automatically when it's in operation.
