House of Horns is a residence in Los Altos, California which acts as an instrument to register the cycles of the day through six “horns” or differently-oriented skylights and clerestories. Four of the horns comprise the main living space of the house, which provides an open context for an unconventional and more nomadic appropriation of domestic space. Ultimately the building is intended to provide a myriad of atmospheres defined by the spectrum of natural light which characterizes the environment of the site.
