FUX provides unaccompanied minors from crisis regions with a safe and supervised environment in which they can learn language and customs while beginning life anew. The house is sited in a row of 19th c. buildings lying between 20th and 21st c. housing estates. The ground floor forms a passage between these two and contains community rooms and infrastructure. Living rooms, kitchen and a supervisor's suite are on the second floor; a large terrace provides sheltered open space. The metallic-glazed wood cladding accentuates the project's articulated form and harmonizes with the adjoining buildings.
