Nestled in the former Laguna National Golf & Country Club in Singapore, Dusit Thani Laguna, an integrated golf resort and five-star hotel project, took its design inspiration from the gentle undulations of the golf course. Its sleek curvilinear roof thrusts up out of the landscape, sweeping up from the ground to create a shelter for the hotel before surging on to cover the existing clubhouse. The swooping roof doesn't just enclose the building but becomes the body and features a seamless surface, blending smoothly with the surroundings and minimizing the architectural violence in the scenery.
