Soochow Birthmark is a residential community developed by MOMA at the hinterland of Suzhou. This area was once a prosperous region where government organizations, business activities, culture, artisans and southern china style gardens gathered. As a representative work paying respect to the ancient city, design of the Soochow Birthmark has adopted new Chinese architectural style and draws its inspiration from the essence of Suzhou gardens. Comprised of single family villas, courtyard villas and stacked villas, these three different types of villas and other mutually complementing pavilions
