ClientChina Fortune

As part of the wider redevelopment of the historic Nanjing Dajiaochange military airbase in China, the design team has transformed China Fortune’s 428,568sqm site into a contemporary mixed-use development. The scheme envisions the integration of retail while preserving the historic runway as the green cultural boulevard. The scheme’s ceramic and metallic façade design also echoes the past whilst reflecting the future of Nanjing. The scheme maximises the advantage of two underground railway lines on-site by guiding the pedestrian flow through a basement retail spine and sunken plazas.
