The work on a public sports facility in Montevideo arises from the crossing of two complementary concerns: the author's reflection about the role of collective equipment as socio-spatial elements in a context of social unbalance, and the exploration on new ways of approaching to a program explored in the last century by public policies in Uruguay. A sports infrastructure that, at the same time is a public space for a neighborhood, capable to admit non-sport activities.
