Changchun Eco Plaza comprises offices and serviced apartments, as well as hotel, retail and ancillary facilities. A central amenity space stitches them together. The overall building mass straddles the northern edge of the site providing a breathing space and a park. Permeability at the ground level facilitates connectivity. Cracks spiral up and around the tower containing indoor/outdoor ramps, connecting users to their destinations via shared amenities along the way. The façade maximises solid insulated surfaces and the geometry recalls natural rock formation native to Jilin.
