In the planning concept, the traditional small-scale space of “pavilions, gardens, courtyards, and corridors” in Chinese Gardens is refined to form a sequence of spatial landscapes, transiting from urban open space (public green space) to semiopen space (Entrance), and then to the creational space (Chinese garden). Extracting the connotation of traditional Chinese culture, and blending its “Oneness of Heaven and Man” thought and western “People-oriented” philosophy, an overall planning is formulated that combines with Chinese-style ritual space and modern luxury lifestyle.
