The Tanks at Bushwick Inlet Park is a vision to reconcile the erasure of the Brooklyn industrial waterfront and reimagine what a public park can be. Empty for half a century, The Tanks design vision adaptively reuses the majestic structures as Community Gardens, Performance Spaces, Galleries, and Aquariums. Each unique, the tanks can house a picnic grove of birch trees and wildflowers, reflecting pools of water with hanging vines, a theater which seats 250, rocky landscapes and adventure playgrounds, and even an Oyster Farm to help regrow the devastated Oyster population in the New York Harbor.
