A secluded oceanfront site promised spectacular views of rolling dunes, ocean and wetlands. Yet the elements that make the site breathtaking also limited space for outdoor living: significant setbacks protected wetlands and fragile dunes. Hollander Design Landscape Architects left the native landscape untouched, containing the home’s landscape within the building footprint. The resulting on-structure landscape is informed by the spirit, forms, and palette of the site's exquisite native landscape. Clean details, unobstructed views, and the sound of water keep the focus on the landscape beyond.
