Sometimes, when we think in the 21st Century city we imagine modern, new and high-tech buildings, but we forget about the historical centers of these cities. These are full of history and tradition, but in very poor condition and occasionally abandoned. This urban strategy project aims to address this problem through rehabilitation and reactivation of the oldest heritage district of Lisbon: ALFAMA, preserving it’s colorful tile facades, making it accessible for older people and transforming it into a mix used productive and residential area.
