The China Resources Tower is Shenzhen’s latest vertical icon, marking the city’s cultural development with its distinctive form. Inspired by the organic shape of the bamboo shoot, the 400m tall building’s 56 stainless-steel-clad exo-columns converge into 28 pillars at the top and bottom to create a diagrid system, emphasizing the tower’s verticality and tapered composition. The diagrid structure allows the interior floorplan to be free of columns, opening the floorplates to panoramic views. The apex culminates at a sky hall, featuring a unique interior view of the spire at its pinnacle.
