Located on an enclosed plot, the project tackles its position by creating a visual link with the town center thus leading way to a pedestrian path. The civic and cultural centers are divided into two L shaped buildings in order to put forth a public square. Its unicity is enhanced by an introverted design. Inspired by Norman traditional architecture, the form reproduces tiled roofs, timber frames and elongated shapes. The envelope is emphasized by a continuous tiled shell from the ridge to the ground. Technical achievements were resolved thanks to a close collaboration with local craftsmen.
