THOR, despite its modest typology, is an experience that pushes the boundaries of hospitality design aesthetically and technically. Located within brick-and-beam architecture, the café responds to 2 distinct interfaces of a "corner" retail space. While engaging a mixed-use street and a coworking space, the design enhances the experience of its patinaed shell with a defiantly forward-looking aesthetic. As an object and environment, THOR presents a unique and refined architecture where functional and expressive elements are interwoven and existing is complemented by and coexisting with the ethereal.
