A dramatic addition to the city skyline, Rosewood Bangkok’s silhouette creates a new icon for the capital. Inspired by the wai, the charming Thai gesture of hands pressed together in greeting, the building is comprised of two graceful, connected structures that have been masterfully combined to exemplify an expression of welcome and reflect Thailand’s rich heritage and customs. The sloping form is functionally practical as well as symbolic. Opportunities for terraces, shrinking floorplates, and unique, occupiable spaces are created as the building rises, resulting in a unique guest experience.
