Annso Hill is a residence and family-owned hotel in Heshun Ancient Town of Yunnan. Composed of two characteristically different lots, the site challenges architectural connectivity and integrity. Its stratagem is directed towards the dramatic landscape; its roof is pressed against the hill, providing an open space for the town. The circulations and paths are designed by unfolding events and surrounds. The walls in the rooms are strategically tiled and slightly sculpted, permitting spatial extension and visual movement — enabling light and shadows to play, throughout the day.
