VI Castle Lane revisits a recurring element of English architecture through a novel interpretation of the bow window. Elegantly extending from the building to enlarge the living space, the redesign of the window element devises a semi-external spatial experience, offering spectacular views of the city from within. The building’s fabric is approached with a similar concept – using existing materials in a contemporary manner, ensuring a clear differentiation between the historical fabric of the city and the contemporary iterations whilst creating a dialogue between the two.
