Worked with Washington State Parks on the renovation and expansion of Goldendale State Park Observatory perched on top of a 2,100ft hill in southwestern Washington. The design challenges and programmatic resolutions revolved around the notion of a self-guided visitor experience and the added complexity of an unusual educational program that mainly occurs at night but needs to address daytime visitors. The City of Goldendale requested the presentation space to hold 150 people while at the same time, serving as the interior self-guided and Washington State Parks programmed interpretive space.
