Maison Koya is interested in the temporality inherent to a multi-generational residence. By structuring an architectural approach related to topographical characteristics intrinsic to the landscape, the complex seeks to create a more open relationship with the site, while subverting the logic of a traditional single-family dwelling. The project underlines temporality with materiality, combining a palette that simultaneously conveys permanence and ephemerality, in its use of both concrete and wood.
