We have been working on the design and implementation of a new market for Guabuliga, a village in northern Ghana, following up on the engagement of [a]FA* with the community since 2011. Based on research and field trips in 2018, the team designed an iconic, modular market structure that aims to attract traders and customers to Guabuliga and to strengthen the socio-economic performance of the village. Construction commenced in early 2019, and the market successfully opened in August 2019. In 2020, landscaping, a market extension zone, as well as a market shop and showroom will be realized.
