An exploration of the potential of the ruins in Rome, this project uses the concept of adaptive reuse to inhabit the ruins of Ludus Magnus, situated opposite the monumental Colosseum. The strategy is to build a lightweight trabeated structure over the fragmented ruins. The project focuses on bringing life back to the site through music, performance and communal activities. Situated on two main streets, the project promises to be an accessible cultural and civic hub for locals and tourists. The project will create amenities such as music studios, office spaces and public gatherings.
