Under the current COVID-19 pandemic, we are seeing glimpses of a future in which inequality, insufficiency, and inefficiency of medical products, health services and emergency responses result in serious social malfunction and chaos. To cope with the potential collapse of the vulnerable health system, this project investigates the role that design can play in improving health and well-being at multiple scales by proposing an alternative spatial system in which a new way of living, producing and moving would provide for a more localized concept of healthy cities and healthy life.
