Constructed in 1928, Ford Auditorium is an English Gothic style auditorium on the campus of Berry College in Mount Berry, Georgia. Despite its notable design, the acoustical performance of the Auditorium was quite poor – an unfortunate feature in a space used as a recital hall for the college’s music program. The renovation of the 5,600 SF Auditorium was centered around enhancing the acoustic properties of the space. The final project achieved a thoughtful balance between the renovation of a historically precious space and the solutions designed to achieve optimal acoustic performance.
