The Park Pavilion in Otterlo is a striking landmark in the middle of the Dutch Hoge Veluwe National Park forest. The pavilion contains a restaurant, an information desk, a gift shop and education/reception areas. A key point for the architects was that the pavilion should form an integral part of the landscape and the park experience. The design aims to generate a surprise effect to the the entering visitor by the shape (the elongated vaulted ceiling) and experience (the specially designed light projections based on an algorithm of the sun shining through the leaves).
