This new six-storey residential building comprises two duplex townhouses, lateral apartments and a penthouse with a roof garden. Sitting within Greenwich Village’s historic district, the scale of the inserted volume and its material qualities help to complete the streetscape. This building offers a contemporary interpretation of the historic architecture that surrounds it. In addition to the colors and material of the façade, the scale of the entrances, rhythm of the windows, and the use of mullions and string courses are all references to the rich domestic architecture of the West Village.
